Established in 1968 in the heart of South Bucks, A1 Taxi Service is a private, family run business boasting a fleet of over 30 vehicles, comprised of saloon and estate cars, and a selection of minibuses. Based in the village of Flackwell Heath, the A1 fleet operates a fast and efficient service throughout the surrounding area, and to all the major UK airports.
All A1 Taxi drivers are vetted by the disclosure and barring service and by Wycombe District Council, and our selection process requires that they be polite, smart, and highly customer focused. We ensure that each driver has an interest in customer relations, so that, aided by our state of the art, computerised data booking and dispatch system, supplied by Datamaster, you get your taxi at the right time, in the right place, and can enjoy a pleasant and stress-free journey.
Whilst there is no limit to the maximum driver hours, A1 Taxi Service believes that in order to ensure your driver is alert and safe to drive with, it is necessary to impose hour limitations and rest periods to give our customers peace of mind.

We welcome both owner drivers and also those wishing to be company drivers, with full-time and part-time shifts available.
As an owner driver, you can work on either a fixed weekly rent or a commission basis, so you only pay on what you earn.
We utilise a modern dispatch system which is designed to minimise dead mileage to maximise earnings in the shortest time possible.
