At the heart of the business is Tara, founder/driver/business owner and absolute animal lover! Having had her own pets since childhood, being an avid horse rider and also finding the time to be a dog-walking volunteer at the RSPCA Southridge, Tara has vast experience in animal handling and behaviour and is confident with all types of animal. With a beautiful rescue dog of her own, Tia, she ensures that every pet that is chauffeured by TPT is treated with the same love, respect and affection as her own.
She wouldn't have it any other way. From making sure windows are open sufficiently to choosing a radio station that the pet seems to enjoy, comfort and security are of the utmost importance to TPT. A pet transportation service with a difference, we care not only about the pets we transport, but also their owners.
With regular updates to owners when transporting their beloved pets on long distances, check in calls/texts after vet trips to see how pet and owner are doing, and bereavement messages to those who sadly lose their pets; our service goes beyond the mileage on the clock.

There are no services that Tara's Pet Taxis does not offer.
So long as your pet requires transport up to 8 hours away in the UK, we are happy and able to accommodate.
This can be a single journey or a return journey.
TPT is happy to accompany your pet to the vet and take the necessary notes/medication/advice to relay to you upon its safe delivery home.
You don't have to struggle to find a taxi that accepts animals or even have to take any time off work if you don't want to.
Established with several boarding kennels and catteries around North London and Hertfordshire, TPT is a safe and economical way to take the stress out of your holiday arrangements and leave the transportation of your pet to us.

It was a day in late February when I first met Tara.
I had to take my Border Terrier (Mia) to the Wood Street Vets urgently and I was unable to drive myself.
The vet gave me Tara's Pet Taxis number and I called immediately and fortunately Tara was able to come straight away.
Mia had dislocated her knee cap and was operated on a few hours later.
Mia has had several appointments since and I have always got Tara to take her.
She is a lovely person, very helpful, always on time and she loves Mia and Mia loves her too!
