The company was started in 1983 by penny and recently celebrated its 36th anniversary in the taxi business. Penny Ran the business for many years as it grew from strength to strength. At the end of 1999 Marie and Duncan took over the business at the end of 1999 and re-branded the company to White Rose Taxis 2000. This gave the Company a new look for the new millennium.
Over the years the company has taken different routes to get to where it is today. For many years White Rose had the contract for the transporting of the Heartbeat cast until it was taken off air in 2010. With the motivation to keep going the company diversified and now undertakes contracts in many different fields.
We do many School and Special Needs contracts for NYCC and all our drivers have been CRB tested once by Scarborough Borough Council and then again by NYCC and all drivers take the National Safeguarding Course for Children and Vulnerable Adults.

We also operate a luggage transfer service for the many walkers who come to the area each year who would be unable to get their luggage from one hotel to another, we collect their luggage from where they have stayed and it is waiting for them on their arrival at their new accommodation after they have had a long and tiring day which is always very welcome.
